Why Should I Hire a Doula?

Does a Doula replace my spouse’s role?

Not at all! I work with your spouse/partner to support you in the way you need. Your spouse will get to be the hero for you on this big day, with me acting as support and brining the expertise.

Are doulas only for natural births?

Doulas can support any type of birth. Whether it’s a natural birth, medicated birth, or c-section, a doula can be there for you! We also attend births in many different settings; at home, in a birth center, or in a hospital.

Will you be my doula for a planned c-section?

Of course! I have had a c-section myself and I know how nerve-wrecking they can be (planned or unplanned). I would love to be there for you to ease any worries and to talk you through it.
